We are delighted to confirm that Yoga Teacher Amanda Stead is returning to our Centre next week in time for the next round of Intro courses – book now if you haven’t already.
Amanda’s absence, due to injury, is her first in the 13 years she has taught with us, and we are very pleased to have her back.
To many, Amanda is our Centre’s stalwart matriarch, gracing it with her lovely, steady and approachable presence.
Equipped with a huge treasure of knowledge and experience, Amanda started her Yoga practice over 33 years ago when she worked with Guruji Iyengar. In the late 1990s Amanda met Grandfather of Ashtanga Yoga Guruji Pattabhi Jois, in New Zealand. She subsequently travelled to Mysore to study under Guruji.
Amanda has the longest association with the Centre of all our teachers, having joined us while we were at our previous studio. She has introduced countless students to Ashtanga Yoga through our Centre’s Intro courses, which run over five weeks – the next of which starts next Monday.
Many thanks to those who came forward to help the Centre run smoothly while Amanda was away.
